March 5-6: Scottsdale Community College Invitational

Competing at the Scottsdale Community College Invitational in the third tournament of its season, the Pima Community College men’s golf team shot its best team score of the year, but still finished in the lower half of the leaderboard at the end of the event.

The Aztecs’ combined team score of 601 over the two-day tournament was good enough for fifth place in the eight-school field, while South Mountain Community College’s final score of 557 saw the Cougars finish in first place.

Cooper Cordova was the high finisher for Pima for the second time this season, as the sophomore’s two-day score of 149 was good enough to tie him for 11th place overall in the individual standings.
