For our last Best Bets of the year, we recommend a few of Tucson’s biggest, most loved and family-friendly holiday events, so grab a thermos of hot cocoa and grab the family (or spike it with Bailey’s and grab your friends).

4th Avenue Winter Street Fair

The 48-year-old Tucson tradition returns. The Winter Street Fair will be held on Fourth Avenue from 10 a.m. to sundown the second weekend of December. Art vendors, food and various activities will be available. Admission to the fair is free.

Winterhaven Festival of Lights

For the 68th year, Winterhaven will be a dazzling wonderland of lights. The event is free, and the hours are from 6 to 10 p.m. The entrance is on Fort Lowell Road, between Tucson Boulevard and Country Club Road. The Community Food Bank will be accepting donations throughout the event.

Zoo Lights at Reid Park Zoo
