Vet program dogs, cats available for adoption

Pima Community College’s veterinary technician program will have healthy and family-friendly dogs and cats available for adoption at the end of November and beginning of December.

Those interested in adopting may contact Joyce Allinger at 206-7877 to schedule an appoint to meet with the animals.

Northwest Campus hosts World AIDS Day Dec. 1

Northwest Campus Student will host an event for World AIDS Day on Dec.1 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Student Life Center has partnered with instructor Joanne Taylor from the social and behavioral science department. Students from her class will give presentations on cultures around the world that have been affected by AIDS.

Zoo Lights schedules private Pima preview

Pima Community College students and employees are invited to bring their families to a private preview of Zoo Lights at Reid Park Zoo on Dec. 1 from 6-8 p.m.

The annual event features animal-themed holiday lighting displays and entertainment. Zoo animals are off exhibit.

Admission is $5 per person, with children 5 and under free. Visitors can enjoy free hot chocolate, coffee and treats. Children may visit with Santa Claus and receive a free memory photo.

The zoo is located at 1030 S. Randolph Way. For more information, visit reidparkzoo.org/event/zoo-lights-2016.
