The window of publishing opportunity for the 2014 edition of SandScript literary magazine comes to a close March 1.
The award-winning, student-produced magazine showcases visual arts, fiction, nonfiction and poetry by Pima Community College students and employees.
Individuals can submit a maximum of two original works of fiction or nonfiction, five poems or five visual art works.
All submissions must be previously unpublished, and include a filled-out submission form. Work can be submitted electronically via email. Hard copies will not be returned.
Visual Art submissions:
Any works submitted with artists’ name cannot be reviewed, in order to protect the integrity of submission selections.
All submissions must be two-dimensional media, titled, using student number for identification.
Any appearance of author’s name on submitted works will immediately disqualify the submission. All digital files should be saved under, and manuscripts submitted with, student number.
Works of fiction and non-fiction must be typed, double-spaced in a 12-point font, and under 5,000 words.
Poetry must be typed, single-spaced in a 12-point font. Type one poem per submission page.
