One-year associate degree coming

By JENNIFER COULTER

Pima Community College is offering students the opportunity to finish an associate degree in liberal arts in one year on the East Campus.

The Sprint Schedule program will start in Spring 2013.

Students will be required to take 23 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters, plus 15 hours in the Summer 2013 session.

“Following the Sprint Schedule is not for everyone,” East Campus Vice President of Instruction Deborah Yoklic said.

“But for anyone who is willing and able to make the commitment, the payoff is huge:  Completion of an associate degree in just one year,” she added.

To qualify for financial aid, students need to take at least one full semester class and consecutive five-week and eight-week classes.

For financial aid in the summer, a student must enroll for spring.

Registration for the Spring 2013 semester starts on Nov. 12, and will include registration for the program as well as typical courses.

Register online at pima.edu or in person at any campus.
