Feb. 15 talk features
World Care founder
Tucson author and humanitarian Lisa Hopper will answer the question, “What’s in a dream?” during a talk on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Northwest Campus.
The lecture and book signing will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room A-207.
Hopper founded World Care in her garage in 1994. As CEO of the international aid organization, she has collected and distributed worldwide more than 25 million pounds of resources valued at more than $35 million.
She tells the story of how she developed her dreams into reality in a recently published book, “In the Wake of a Dream.”
‘Love Your Major’
takes place Feb. 16
Students frustrated by choosing a major can attend a “Love Your Major” event on Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at West Campus in the Santa Rita building Student Lounge.
The session is designed to answer questions about particular majors, degree and admission requirements or financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
Advisors and staff members from both Pima Community College and the University of Arizona will be on hand.
Planning to graduate from Pima Community College this spring? Students must submit their graduation application by Feb. 23.
