Health and Safety Fair in El Rio Neighborhood Center

Students of the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy will team up with El Rio Neighborhood Center as they hold a free Health and Safety Fair on Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the El Rio Neighborhood Center at 1390 W. Speedway Blvd.

Pharmacists and pharmacy students will offer free health exams and screening for individuals. More than 70 exhibitors are expected to participate.

Anyone who wants to participate should bring all medications, including prescriptions and over-the-counter medications taken regularly, or a list of medications with complete dosage information.

There will also be a free raffle and discussions about illnesses, disease conditions and healthy lifestyle tips. Spanish translator will be available.

Student speaker sought for spring graduation

If you are graduating from Pima Community College with an associate degree this spring, you have an opportunity to make a lasting imprint on your fellow classmates.

A graduation committee is seeking a student speaker for the graduation ceremony on May. 19. To be considered, complete an application form and submit it by Friday, March 25.
