It’s a night for Cupids

Ah, Valentine’s Day, the most romantic day of the year. This year, unlike the masses of people who hate this day, you’ve got someone special to spend it with.

Valentine’s Day is “just another day” to some but most people still want to feel special.

At the risk of sounding like Rihanna, make your girlfriend feel like she’s the only girl in the world.

You’re allowed to be extra cheesy. Some girls like all that extra cheese anyway. Start off her morning by showing up early and doing something she’ll think is tremendously cute.

Valentine’s Day has been shaped into a holiday where most people only want to get sexed up or think they have to buy or receive a fancy piece of jewelry.

Although you need to show love to your girlfriend every day, do everything humanly possible to make sure your V-Day gift comes from the heart.

Try hand crafting something that relates to her favorite hobby. If she has a really boring hobby, study cheesy ‘80s movies and replicate their gift ideas.

Unless it is a holiday-appropriate themed movie, stray away from going out to one. Sitting in a dark room, not being able to talk, diminishes the romantic appeal.

Do research if you plan on taking her out to dinner (or cooking her dinner, for that matter). Make sure you take her to a place she’ll like. God forbid you feed her seafood and she has an allergic reaction. You’ll forever be known as the emergency room romantic.

Be creative. No one knows your girlfriend better than you do. When it comes down to the wire, you’ll know exactly what to do and say to make this Valentine’s Day one she’ll never forget.

With some luck, you’ll even be able to get frisky.

February is upon you love birds, which means Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.

Most couples use this holiday to express love for their significant other by buying roses, chocolates and the occasional life-size stuffed animal.

Many people don’t realize that women are the main focus of Valentine’s Day. You women in a relationship know that Feb. 14 should be a special day.

Whether it’s your first year getting shot by Cupid’s arrow or your third, it should be a night to remember.

One good way is dressing up for the occasion.

Don’t go overboard by pulling out your senior prom dress that has been collecting dust in the closet.

Instead, wear something that makes you feel sexy. (Tight dresses always work like a charm.) You will have your Mr. Right drooling over his dinner plate.

Whether you realize it or not, there is a certain amount of pressure that men go through when the holiday of romance comes around.

No man wants to make his woman feel as if she isn’t appreciated.

Let’s be honest, gloating to your friends about how special the night was is always a woman’s specialty.

He doesn’t want you not having an original story to share with your friends the next day.

So, the best bet is for you to talk about what the night will entail. Knowing what both parties would enjoy will ease the pressure.

However, he might have something special planned, so don’t hammer him with questions. Give him a chance to sweep you off your feet with his plans, and just enjoy the night.

Now, you might be wondering what should you get him for a present. Whether it’s cologne, shirts, jackets or a fancy watch, he’ll enjoy it.

If all else fails, lingerie from “Victoria’s Secret” is a gift that each of you can appreciate at the end of the night.
