The Pima Community College Board of Governors approved the expansion of the college’s Aviation Technology program by adding avionics to the existing Structural Repair and Airframe and Power plant degrees and certificates.
Funding will come from a Desert Vista Campus Title V grant.
During its Feb. 19 meeting, board members also voted to eliminate 33 programs because they were obsolete.
Two new programs were approved, a Customer Service Management certificate and Integrated Circuit Layout Design.
The board also approved the regular appointments of current full-time faculty and approved faculty sabbaticals for the 2008-09 fiscal year.
